A little more
about Hailights.

Where do the stories come from?

The pilot starts with a small set of public feeds, including TechCrunch, NASA, BBC, and The Guardian, across technology, science and space, world news, and culture. Summaries link back to original sources. These publishers aren’t affiliated with Hailights.

How is AI involved?

Hailights uses OpenAI to help summarize source material and choose stories around your interests. Summaries are a starting point and can contain mistakes; citations let you check the original reporting and explore further.

What changes when I come back later?

New stories are appended to your day’s edition at your chosen check times, within its daily size. Published entries stay as they were. Corrections and developments appear as new entries. Your email stays a snapshot of the edition when it was sent; its link opens the growing paper in the app or browser.

How much can I customize?

Choose topics, a personal brief, approved source groups, articles/videos/podcasts, edition size, check cadence, delivery, and appearance. Daily editions can hold up to 6, 10, or 14 stories. Changes to size, cadence, and timezone take effect with your next daily edition.

Can I start using it yet?

Hailights is currently a private personal pilot. Public registration and app-store downloads aren’t available yet. You can explore the sample on this page; pilot sign-in is for the existing owner account.

An illustrative brief / Science & space

A wider window
into the universe.

This is the kind of pause a Hailights story makes room for: a clear introduction, a little context, and a path to the source.

Space reporting can connect a single striking image to the larger questions behind it. What are researchers trying to understand? What does an observation show, and what is still uncertain?

Your paper’s real summaries are grounded in the article they cite. This sample demonstrates the reading experience; it isn’t a report about a new discovery.
